Terms of Service
1. About LOKL
LOKL ("we", "us", "our") is a website building and business management platform operated at lokl.com.ai. By signing up and using LOKL, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement to use LOKL. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@lokl.com.ai if you suspect any unauthorised use.
4. Plans & Pricing
- Starter — £199 one-time setup fee + £7.99/month hosting
- Basic — £49/month
- Premium — £99/month
- Pro — £199/month (or £159/month billed annually at £1,908/year)
All prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
5. Refund Policy
We offer a 7-day refund on your first payment if you are not satisfied with LOKL. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable. To request a refund, email hello@lokl.com.ai within 7 days of your payment date.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing hello@lokl.com.ai. Your site will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your site will be deactivated and your data deleted after 90 days unless you request earlier deletion.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use LOKL to:
- Publish illegal, harmful, fraudulent or misleading content
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Send spam or unsolicited communications
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to LOKL systems
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.
8. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to LOKL, including photos, text and business information. By uploading content, you grant LOKL a non-exclusive licence to store and display that content as part of the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use all content you upload.
9. Service Availability
We aim to maintain 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss of business arising from service interruptions, planned maintenance or circumstances beyond our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOKL's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to LOKL in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of LOKL after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
